John Nolan practices in the firm’s Midwest office in his hometown of Springfield, Illinois. Since his graduation from The St. Louis University School of Law in 1991, Mr. Nolan’s practice has focused on the defense of complex litigated claims in the trial and appellate courts. Mr. Nolan has directed the defense of claims involving products liability, professional liability in the areas of medical, legal, construction design and insurance agency malpractice, as well as construction and employment practices claims. As a practitioner in the state capitol of Illinois, Mr. Nolan also represents clients before various state and federal agencies in the areas of employment and professional regulation.
Mr. Nolan is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Illinois, the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He has lectured students at the University of Illinois Springfield on the American Jury System, and has presented a number of seminars on employment issues for the health care industry and tax exempt organizations.
